Laurie grew up on the south shore of Boston, and cannot imagine a life away from the coast. Her love for the beach and the sun is integral to her being, but also resulted in melanoma skin cancer. Now in full remission, Laurie has drastically adjusted her daily routine to reduce her sun exposure midday. Through this change, Laurie discovered a profound appreciation for sun’s power to transform the sky, and what lies beneath, particularly during transitional hours.

Piping Prints is a clothing brand from Nantucket Island. We design playfully preppy embroidered seersucker clothing for the entire family.
All of our clothing is custom designed by Cara Marquis, a Nantucket graphic designer, and mom.
A portion of our 2020 proceeds have been, and will continue to be donated to local causes, including Small Friends on Nantucket, ACK Saves, and the Nantucket Fund for Emergency Relief.
